Creation Part 2, Adam and Eve and Cubbies

 Just wanted to share a little recap of our past couple of weeks!

 Part 2 of Creation: We wrapped up our study of creation last week. We  focused on days 5, 6 and 7. 

I found these animal things that grow when you stick them in cold water. Elisha enjoyed that project.

The rest of the week we focused on Adam and Eve, the letter A and the number 2.

 

We have been using this DVD as  resource for learning about the beginning of Creation and the beginning of the Bible as well. It is made by the same people that made Veggie Tales. Some of the topics are a little over Elisha's head for now, but eventually I think he will start to grasp some more of the concepts.

We glued aluminum to the letter A for one of our letter activities.

This week was supposed to be a review week, but we spent most of the week doing free play and working on sight words and letter sounds instead. I watched Elisha put together a few three-letter words like MOP, FAN, MAN, TAP and a few others by helping him sound out the letters to figure out how to make the words. It was really cool to see my three year old be able to do that! Starfall.com has become a staple in our daily lessons!

Also, this week Elisha started AWANA and is in Cubbies! So far he loves it and is doing pretty good at memorizing his verses. I am really thankful for this program--for the spiritual aspect as well as the social!
